WE ARE HOWEVER, RUNNING AN INTERIM TELEPHONE SERVICE. TO REFER PLEASE COMPLETE AND RETURN THE TELEPHONE SUPPORT REFERRAL FORM.
Any family living in the boroughs of Richmond, Kingston & Hounslow with at least one child under five years of age may be referred to Home-Start Richmond, Kingston & Hounslow for support.
We are unable to support any family where a child is on a Child Protection Plan.
Who can refer?

- Health Visitors
- Social Workers
- Community psychiatric nurses
- Teachers and ESCos
- Children’s centre staff
- Probation officers
- Playgroup workers
- Other health workers
How to refer a family
- Talk to the family about Home-Start and how we can help.
- Ask the family’s permission to make a referral.
- Complete a referral form and forward it to our office, either by protected email or in the post.
What happens after referral?
After an initial assessment of the appropriateness of the referral, one of our co-ordinators will arrange to visit the family to discuss their needs and the support Home-Start may be able to offer.
When a waiting list is in operation the family may need to wait for an initial visit. When a volunteer is introduced the referrer will receive notification. We will inform you of our waiting times at the point of referral.
